GENDERS PSYCHOLOGY IN THEIR RELATIONS

Between the ages of 4 and 10, boys are disadvantaged compared with girls in several ways. They must be neither too aggressive (or they are disapproved of as 'bad boys') nor too passively dependent (or they are disapproved of as being 'mother's pet' or 'sissies'). And because they are less able to interpret verbal and non-verbal cues of parental disapproval (or that of other adults) as quickly or as accurately as girls, they are more likely to be confused. Boys consequently find it harder to conform and learn to accept their gender-identity later than girls.
As males are more aggressive and more dominant, should not the present patriarchal society be maintained for ever, and women relegated mainly to the dependent 'nurturant' (child-care) activities, otherwise they will be disappointed in their encounter with dominant men when they seek to do 'men's' jobs?
In primitive societies, where gender-role activities are very distinct, and where frequent child-bearing is usual, this view may have value. In societies which have jobs needing great physical exertion it is likely that men, who have a larger muscle mass, will do them better.
In our type of society neither of these conditions applies. Most women limit the number of children they decide to have. In our society, most women conceive their last child before the woman is 28 years old; and a woman's 'nurturant' functions have ceased by the time she is about 35 or 36. Most jobs do not demand great physical strength, machines have replaced muscle. It is true that only a woman can conceive, can carry the foetus in her uterus, and can breast-feed it, but there is no reason why her man cannot-help in its nurturance. It is also true that women can do most jobs presently reserved for men as efficiently and as effectively as men if given the opportunity and training.

PRESCRIBED DRUGS

Taking prescribed medications with most vitamins is safe as is taking herbal complexes that are available through health food stores. However, you should always check with your doctor, your pharmacist or your naturopath. They are all trained to know what can go with what.

Weight loss

Overweight is most commonly a result of overeating and lack of exercise. Overweight and fluid retention often go together with people who have glandular problems or under-active thyroids. In such cases an iodine and phosporous deficiency may be the cause.
