Drug Uses
This medication helps to treat and prevent certain fungal and yeast infections. Diflucan may also be used for some other conditions as described by your doctor.
How Taken
Take the remedy as prescribed by your doctor. Read the medicine flabel carefully for proper dosing instructions. Use it by mouth with/without food.
Take the medication two hours before proton pump inhibitors. Foro complete clearing up your infection, use Diflucan for the entire course of healing. Missed Dose
In case you miss a dosage of Diflucan , take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up.
Storage
Store this product (if it is of USA origin) below 30 degrees C (86 degrees F) away from moisture and moisture. You must not freeze Diflucan. Do not keep the medication in the bathroom. Product of Canadian origin should be kept at room temperature between 15-30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F) away from moisture, light. Do not keep in the bathroom as well. All medicines must be saved away from children and pets.
Warnings Precautions
You cannot use Diflucan on condition that:
you have allergies to certain ingredients of Diflucan;
you are currently using a serotonin (5-HT1) receptor agonist , an ergot alkaloid, erythromycin, pimozide, terfenadine, astemizole, aldosterone blocker, cisapride.
Inform your health care provider or doctor immediately if any of these apply to you.
Sometimes certain medical conditions interact with Diflucan . Tell your pharmacist or doctor in case you have the following medical conditions:
if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant;
if you are breast-feeding;
if you have kidney, liver disease, irregular heartbeat or a weakened immune system; if you have allergies to any other azole antifungals;
if you are taking any prescription/nonprescription medicine;
if you are using any or herbal preparation or any dietary supplement;
if you have allergies to foods, medicines, other substances.
There are some medications interacting with Diflucan . Inform your health care provider in case you are currently taking any other medicines, especially the following ones:
Rifabutin because of the risk of some eye problems.
Macrolide immunosuppressants may increase the danger of problems with kidney.
Pimozide, serotonin receptor agonists, astemizole, cisapride, macrolide antibiotics, quinolines, terfenadine, aldosterone blockers, amiodarone. They may increase the risk of irregular heartbeat.
HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, hydantoins, methadone, muscarinic antagonists, narcotics ramelteon, sulfonylureas, theophylline, tricyclic antidepressants, anticoagulants , benzodiazepines, buspirone, carbamazepine, cyclophosphamide, cyclosporine, ergot alkaloids haloperidol Diflucan increasese the risk of their side effects.
Proton pump inhibitors or rifampin because they are able to highten effectiveness of Diflucan.
Possible Side Effects
Medicines may provoke certain side effects. Nevertherless, many people have no/ minor side effects. Contact your doctor if any of these side effects take place:
headache; nausea; taste changes; dizziness; pain in stomach.
Ask for medical attention at once if any of these serious side effects take place:
serious allergic reactions (chest tightness; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; rash; hives; difficulty breathing); tender abdomen; vomiting; yellowing of the eyes skin; diarrhea; scaly, red skin on the body.
